Prerequisites
It is recommended that a learner has the following knowledge and skills before attending this course:
- Understanding of Databases in General
- Understanding of SQL concepts with the ability to develop in SQL
- Basic Windows skills
- Understanding of Web Services
Course Content
This course is for students who need to become familiar with the principles of data virtualization; to learn the skills necessary to implement data virtualization including data source introspection, views, procedures, publishing; and to understand governance topics such as query optimization, caching, security. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe the Cisco Information Server solution, its installation, and how to use the Studio product
- Explain how to use data connection and transforms
- Explain how to publish a resource as a database and as a web service that can support SOAP and WSDL
- Explain the use of various procedures available in the Cisco Information Server
- Describe the various adapter bundles that are available for the Cisco Information Server
- Describe the platform experience of the Cisco Information Server including use of the Business directory and how to troubleshoot the solution
